MARK IRELAND THE WEDDING DJ
Mark has played at hundreds of weddings over the years and he says they are his favourite events to play, as they are held in some of the most amazing venues such as castles and luxury hotels. Mark thinks it’s a total pleasure to meet so many different people and see everybody have so much fun.
A typical wedding starts at 7pm with back ground music for an hour before the first dance and the cake cutting. Mark will gladly be able to provide this until the first dance and cake cut which is normally about 8pm. Mark would set up the equipment before the guests arrive at approximately 6pm to avoid any disruption.
Mark will encourage people to join in the dancing during his first set after the first dance for about 45 mins to assist the photographer and videographer to capture some great footage of the early evening.
After the first dance its normal for some people to be busy chatting it is also likely some will be dancing. From doing so many weddings Marks advice is if you want people dancing they will follow the lead of the bride and bridesmaids.
During the evening food background music can be played until the main DJ performance around 9pm
When the lights go down as previously mentioned Mark plays a selection of 70’s Disco, Remixed 80’s RnB, Dance Classics in the mix, uninterrupted with minimal chat.
Marks focus is playing great music till midnight, about 30 minutes before the end Mark would bring out some classic sing alongs. PS don’t worry it’s not New York New York.
Booking Mark for your wedding is a simple process. After paying a 20% booking fee you will receive a written contract confirming all the details including the terms and conditions of the booking these can also be requested before the contracted is drawn up.

I know Mark from back in my Lava Ignite raving days… he was great then and he’s just got better with age! He recently worked our wedding and what a night it was!! He had EVERYONE on the dance floor for the majority of the night! All of my guests commented on how awesome he was! Very diverse, bags of experience, authentic, fresh and quirky mixes across a vast range of genres. Knows how to read the crowd and plays for them and the love of music.
